We're getting started on our goals for the year...

Project 1.
Chattooga River Clean-ups

You will need:
Your own kayak and paddles
We will provide snacks, water, trash bags, gloves

Project 2.
Education Workshops & Fun Paddles
Quarterly (Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer)
We will host fun paddles with an education component on a variety of topics from river safety to conservation to identifying wildlife. Paddles will be free for CRG members and a minimal fee will be asked for non-members. Snacks and lunch provided by CRG.

We'll be paddling the Blue Trail---Lyerly Dam Launch to Chattoogaville with Shane Kornberg, former manager of the Fish Hatchery in Cohutta and currently an Agriculture and Natural Resources Agent with UGA Extension in Whitfield County.

Project 3.
Chattooga River Fest
Becoming an annual tradition...
The CRG is planning our next Chattooga River Fest for 2026. This is the festival that moves along the river each year. We were in Lyerly in 2025. For 2026, we be back in Trion right next to the river!
