We're getting started on our goals for the year...
Chattooga River Clean-ups
Next organized clean up October 9th, 9a, Trion
In 2022 the CRG, along with the Lyerly Fire Dept and a couple of Boy Scouts, pulled 421 pounds of garbage from the Chattooga River between Lyerly and Chattoogaville yesterday. Two nearly-blocked passages were also cleared. We are planning another clearing and cleaning day for the summer...details soon.

A long-term project, partnering with the Boy Scouts and municipalities, the CRG will help get informational kiosks up at every launch site along the Chattooga River in Chattooga County. We're starting in Trion.

Chattooga River Fest
Becoming an annual tradition...
The CRG is planning our next Chattooga River Fest for 2024. We recently (June 10, 2023) hosted our second one in Trion. Plans are to be in or near Summerville June 8, 2024, splitting the day's activities up into morning (paddle, fishing tournament and rodeo) and evening (vendor market, cornhole tournament, fish cookoff, live music with a headliner).
We're always in need of sponsors and volunteers to put on a successful event. If you would like to help, please Contact Us today. Thank you!
